Privacy Policy

ZUBER Brief is a news publication about artificial intelligence in private aviation, available at zuberbrief.com. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean ZUBER Brief.

For review: add the legal name and postal address of the business that operates ZUBER Brief.

We only collect what you give us through our two forms, plus a small amount of technical information.

When you join the newsletter list

• Your email address (required) and your name, if you choose to give it.
• Which page you signed up from.
• The date and time you agreed to receive emails from us, and the date and time you confirmed your address by clicking the link we send.
• A one-time confirmation code. We store it only in scrambled (hashed) form, and it expires after 7 days.

When you send an advertiser inquiry

• Your name, company, email address, the type of advertising you are interested in, your message, and when you sent it.

Technical information

• To stop spam, we turn your internet (IP) address into a one-way scrambled code when you submit a form. We do not store the address itself, and the code is deleted automatically after about a day.
• Our email delivery provider records whether each email we send was delivered, bounced, marked as spam or unsubscribed from.
• Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as the pages requested and the time of the request, to run and secure the site.

We do not use advertising cookies or sell your information. For review: confirm whether any visitor analytics are switched on for the site before publishing.

• To send you one email asking you to confirm your address, and then to email you when the newsletter launches and with each edition after that.
• To keep a record that you agreed to receive our emails.
• To read and reply to advertiser inquiries and to discuss advertising with you.
• To protect our forms from spam and abuse and to keep the site secure.

We rely on your consent for the newsletter, which you can withdraw at any time, and on our legitimate interest in running the publication for advertiser inquiries and spam protection. For review: confirm the legal bases for the countries where we have readers.

We do not sell or rent your information. We share it only with:

• The providers that host our website and database and deliver our emails, who process it on our behalf.
• Authorities, when the law requires us to.

These providers may process information outside your country. For review: list the providers and the safeguards used for international transfers.

• Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your details. After you unsubscribe, our email provider keeps your address on a do-not-email list so you are not emailed again.
• Sign-ups that are never confirmed: For review: choose a period, for example 30 days.
• Advertiser inquiries: for as long as we are discussing advertising with you, and then For review: choose a period, for example 24 months after last contact.
• Spam-protection codes: automatically deleted after about a day.

Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. You can also ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or to stop using it.

How to ask for deletion

Email editor@zuberbrief.com with the subject “Delete my data” from the address you signed up with, or tell us which address to look for. For advertiser inquiries you can also write to partners@zuberbrief.com. We may ask you to confirm the request comes from you, and we aim to reply within 30 days.

You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority where you live. For review: name the relevant authority, if any.

ZUBER Brief is written for aviation professionals and is not intended for anyone under 16.

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top. For significant changes we will tell subscribers by email.
